“Ralph is a must-book guide if you have the chance! Not only is he an incredible skilled angler and guide, built he has it perfectly balanced with patience and a contagious laugh. Can’t wait to get on the water with him again.”

“I’m a semi-novice fly fisherman who started throwing flies at an Orvis two day class at the headquarters in Manchester, VT. Since then I’ve hired a number of guides all over the country to take me out on their water. No other guide has shared the high level of patience and knowledge that Ralph has shared with me. It’s clear that his goal when taking a client on the water is not just to get on the fish, but to instill a love and respect for the sport and the fish that unwittingly participate in it. I learned early that fly fishing is an ever challenging sport, and when I feel that I’ve hit a technical wall or enter into an area where don’t feel confident in my skills, I know that I can hire Ralph for a few hours and he can bring me to that next level..”

“Will 100% be coming back for another trip. Action packed day on the water with amazing smallmouth top water eats, coupled with some top tier scenery. Overall great day on the river!”

“Just went on my second outing with Ralph. My wife and I landed some extremely nice smallmouths and a quite a few trout (browns, brooks, and 'bows!). Great fishing all day. Can't recommend this guide enough. We had very steady success all day and a guide who knew how to put us on fish. We had a great time on the water.”

“I booked Ralph through the Orvis Fishing School because I wanted to improve my skills on Euro-nymphing techniques and catch some fish at the same time. Ralph gave me the option up front to get a few fish "in the bag" by working on my current abilities of indicator nymph fishing. I opted for fish first and then found out that what I have been doing for years was causing me to miss a majority of strikes when fishing. Ralph explained and showed me how to rig up in a more effective way and I began to catch many large rainbow trout in just a few short hours. Our first day was a wade trip and the second day was a float trip. Ralph never stopped working to give the the best opportunity to catch fish and learn. He also instructed and critiqued me on my casting and general methods for Euro-nymphing. I have had many guides over the years from Maine to the West Coast and Ralph ranks among the best. I plan on coming back to fish with him next year and bringing my nephew.”

“Spent 2 days with Ralph and can’t wait until I can get out with him again. Knows his fly fishing more than anybody I’ve ever met. And knows how to find those sneaky little underwater prizes across multiple bodies of water. Plus, he’s a good guy who’s fun to speak with. 5 stars weren’t enough..”

“Ralph is a fantastic guide. My 16 year old daughter and I crushed bass all day. Ralph would say see that rock, bam fish, hit that shore line, bam fish. I actually lost count and stopped taking pictures. I would fish with him any day.”
